AJ joined Dolby Family Ventures in 2024 as an Associate, supporting the life science portfolio. Prior, he was in Equity Research at Jefferies covering publicly traded small & mid-cap biotech companies, whose pipelines included therapeutics in neurology, psychiatry, oncology, immunology, and rare diseases.
AJ has a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco, where he was an NSF Fellow. His doctoral research centered on cardiorenal disease, linking the fluid mechanics of hemodialysis to pro-fibrotic platelet dysregulation. AJ completed his BS in Bioengineering at Rice University.
